Yes my maternity leave has finished and i am officially a working mom!I returned to work 3 weeks ago. Maternity leave in the UK is only 1 year and not 2 or 3 years as in other European countries ;( We decided to have a life in nanny as it makes life so much easier and because we don't have any relatives living close or even in the same country. We didn't want to put them in a nursery as they are too young.
So what can I say........ I hate being a working mom of twins, I hate that my girls get to spend the whole day with a nanny, I am super jealous that our nanny gets so see the girls all day! I want to be a stay at home and I want to get paid in hugs and kisses. I only get to see the girls 30 minutes in the morning and 1 hour at night! I don´t have breakfast, lunch or dinner with them and I change 0 nappies. I leave the flat at 7.30 in the morning and I am back at 6.30 in the evening. Life is unfair, even my boyfriend gets to see the girls more then me. And that's not all after the girls are in bed I have to cook dinner, clean, clean, do laundry, preparing lunch for the twinsies etc... and I have got 0 time for myself and 0 time for friends....
But at least we have got the whole weekend together and we enjoy every single second together!

ReplyDeleteI am returning to work on Wednesday! A whole year has now gone...and I am dreading the thought of not spending all day with my little man x
